Ceramic Printing on Glass

Ceramic printing is a process that integrates glass particles mixed with ink to create the glass surface.

After printing, the glass goes into the oven and the paint becomes an integral part of the glass.

And the glass is extra clear and tempered.

The unique ink and the advanced printers are manufactured by DIP TECH.

And we, at Vitran enjoy their full support as needed for our special projects.

The print is resistant to scratches, peeling, fading due to sunlight and more.
But in any event, it is best to print on one layer of glass and add another sheet of glass after tempering,
thus creating layered glass.
Ceramic printing on glass enables us to create a designed and original glass product.
Using ceramic printing, we can print any color, design or picture on glass.
Thanks to the advanced printer, we can also play with the transparency and color quantity for each print.
Thus resulting in various effects, such as: 3D, field depth and more - whatever you might imagine.
The sample, texture, painting or picture is printed onto the glass in a precise and clean manner.
Glass bearing different designs provides the practicality of using glass
and the unique design element.

Beyond the design, the prints integrated in glass can serve as an
element that regulates the light penetrating the structure or a buffer to conceal whatever is behind the glass.
Glass printed with various designs and drawings offers a modern design solution that enriches every structure with vitality and prestige.
When properly and meticulously planned and design, ceramic printing on glass reveals many meanings and perspectives.
Mainly in the public space, for structure branding and visibility, green and sustainable construction compliant with current standards.

But first, some technical details:  Ceramic ink is made of glass powder, pigments and an alcoholic component.

The design is entered into the software and the printer knows how many paint shots to place on every point.

After printing, the printed glass is put in the oven, heated to 700°C.

The process integrates the ceramic ink within the glass, which is concurrently tempered.

The process, by the way, is the same one used for your windshield, proving the ink’s resilience!

That is how printing becomes an integral part of the material.
